The Rochester Lapidary Society (Rochester, New York) is a non-profit organization devoted to the collecting and study of minerals, gemstones, geology, paleontology and the lapidary arts (stone cutting, stone carving, polishing, faceting, and jewelry making), as well as the love and deep appreciation of the great outdoors.  An annual show is held each year, in October, to promote the educational philosophy of our organization. The summer months are devoted to club-sponsored field trips.

Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from September through June from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There are also monthly and weekly workshops. Click any of the links at the top to learn more about those workshops and to see what else the club has to offer.

Yearly dues are $15 for a single member, or $20 for a family membership. This also includes our award winning newsletter “The RockCollector” which you can only get by becoming a member of the club. For more information about anything on this website, or about the Rochester Lapidary Society in general, please click on the About/Contact link at the top.  To send an email to the webmaster you can click on the club’s logo below, or use the links on the contact page.

Guests are always welcome at the Rochester Lapidary Society. We do ask that if a guest comes on a workshop day that they only view the process. You need to be a paid member to actually use the equipment so that you are covered by our insurance. Guests can attend our monthly meetings as well.

Thanks!
